Sun Endurance only collects the personal data needed to deliver our briefing email and understand which articles are useful. We don't sell your data, we don't run ad networks on this site, and you can unsubscribe or request deletion at any time by emailing hello@sunendurance.com. This page is maintained by Sun Endurance to answer common privacy questions about the site.
Who we are
Sun Endurance ("we", "us") publishes independent reviews and guides on light and human performance at sunendurance.com. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@sunendurance.com.
What we collect
Email subscriptions: when you join the briefing, we store the email address you submit and the date you subscribed. That's it — no name, no profile.
Site analytics: aggregated, non-identifying usage data (pages viewed, referrer, approximate region, device type) so we know which articles are working. We do not build advertising profiles.
Contact emails: if you email us, we keep the message and your address so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.
Why we use it
To send the newsletter you asked for, to improve the articles and tests we publish, to respond to your messages, and to meet our legal obligations. Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are your consent (for the newsletter) and our legitimate interest in running and improving an independent publication (for analytics and correspondence).
Who we share it with
We use a small number of processors to run the site. Your subscription email is stored with Resend (our email delivery provider) so we can send the briefing. The site itself is hosted on Lovable's infrastructure, which stores data we collect on your behalf. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
Cookies
We use a minimal set of first-party cookies and similar storage for essential site functionality and privacy-respecting analytics. We do not set third-party advertising cookies on this site.
How long we keep it
We keep your subscription email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form. Correspondence is kept for as long as is reasonable to maintain a record of the exchange.
Your rights
If you're in the UK or EEA you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, email hello@sunendurance.com and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we've handled your data unfairly.
Unsubscribing
Every briefing email has a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer. You can also email hello@sunendurance.com and we'll remove you within one working day.
Children
Sun Endurance is written for adult athletes and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we update this policy we'll change the effective date at the top of the page and, for material changes, mention it in the next briefing.
